welcomes new board members Yunus and Zamora
Bringing hope and inspiration
sopranos Monica Yunus and Camille Zamora, the New York City-based international non-profit organization creates arts outreach programs that bring hope and inspiration to under-resourced schools, hospitals, refugee camps, veterans’ centers, transit hubs, disability networks, and public spaces. Since 2006, Sing for Hope has partnered with over 250 non-profit organizations, involved over 3,500 artists in creative volunteerism, and placed over 450 artist-created Sing for Hope Pianos in public spaces for everyone to play — a symbol and celebration of art for all.
Serving on Sing for Hope Board of Directors are some of the world’s key cultural leaders, including Andrea Bocelli, Plácido Domingo, Renée Fleming, Jon Batiste, Ann Ziff, Damian Woetzel, and 2006 Nobel Peace Laureate Muhammad Yunus. Sing for Hope’s Artist Partner Roster features artists from almost every artistic discipline: actors, musicians, dancers, choreographers, composers, designers, directors, and more. The dedicated involvement of these Artist Partners allows Sing for Hope a vast scope, reaching millions of people each year.
Therefore, we are thrilled to announce Monica Yunus’ and Camille Zamora’s attendance as speakers at the 9th edition of the Global Social Business Summit. Their relentless work in using culture and arts as a tool for inclusion and education as well as a sign for solidarity is not just an inspiration, but also motivates others to do the same.
